October 2011
Here are some family pictures from October 2011...
Megan, playing on the kids' computer. After watching Brendan type and use the paint program, she was delighted to get her own turn.
Reading bedtime books in Brendan's room.
One afternoon, Brendan asked me if we could make something out of our recycling. Thinking quickly, I remembered that we had a large number of different sized tin cans in our bin. So I asked him if he wanted to make a wind chime. We cleaned off the cans, washed them, dried them, and painted them. Then I poked a hole in the top of each of them and we strung thick fishing line through them. Hence, our wind chime.
It rained one afternoon, and the kids kept begging me to go outside and splash in the puddles. It was cold out, and both kids had the sniffles, but, hey, I'm a pushover, so eventually I let them. We set the timer for ten minutes and I let them splash to their heart's content. Then I stripped them down and put them in a warm bath. And nobody got sick. Yay!

Brendan has discovered the coolness of listening to music with earphones. We don't usually let him (we all listen instead), but during quiet time one weekend Brad let him. And he fell asleep listening to Rascal Flatts.
