Here are some family pictures from September 2012...
Emily, with her beloved musical giraffe (unnamed, as of yet). Almost five months old, and such a sweetie!
My Aunt Liz took the fence that my Grandpa Rocco made, repainted it in the original color, and made these beautiful pieces out of it. I'm using mine (above) as the centerpiece in my herb garden (along with my two garden butterflies in memory of my Grandma Adrian.) I absolutely love it.
Sleeping baby.
I had to put Emily down to get something in the other room. She was fussy, so I asked Brendan to keep an eye on her. As I was walking back into the room, I noticed that it had been quiet for a minute, and I found this. Oh, doesn't your heart just melt! What a wonderfully amazing big brother!
Megan was playing around with my camera and took this picture of Brendan and I.
Brad's boss has an apple tree in his back yard and he couldn't use all the apples. He offered to let us come and get as many as we wanted, and since it's the off year for our tree, we took him up on his offer. In all, I think we got three full paper bags full. I made two huge batches of apple butter (first time!), two batches of apple bars, we dehydrated a bunch, and ate many. Mmmmmm...
One night, when checking on the kids before we headed to bed, we found the above. They fell asleep talking on Brendan's bed. I love how Megan sometimes sleeps on her hands...Emily does that too.
Candid Daddy/kiddo shot while they were playing.
What a cutie!
My girls...eye to eye.
Hi Brendan! (How did you get my camera!?)
The walleyes have been biting the last few days, and Brad, Brendan, and Gene got in on the action for a couple of them. Brendan definitely held up his own (with his little Snoopy rod, no less!) and helped put a couple fish in my freezer. Above, Brendan with two of his walleyes.
Brendan and Megan loved watching Brad clean the fish (notice Brendan's noggin under Brads arm? It pretty much stayed that way!)
Some book time with my girls, while Brendan's at school.
I cuddle-rocked them both to sleep. Score one for mom! Ummmm...now what do I do? :) (Good thing Brad was there on his lunch break, otherwise I probably would have cuddle-rocked myself to sleep right along with them!)
Brendan plays "construction" endlessly. I get such a kick out of watching him set everything up just so, then playing with it for just a little bit, then moving on to something else. The joy comes from setting it up...reminds me of how I played with my Barbies.
