June 2012

Here are some of our family pictures from June 2012...

Brendan still adores Emily, and will ask to hug and kiss her many times a day. (She tolerates it pretty well!)

Emily, at just a few days over 1 month old.

So far, Emily does NOT like the swing, so the swing gets its most use from Megan swinging her babies.

Brendan and I have been finding lots of stuff to do for "quiet time" (while the girls nap.)  Today we made some big houses out of Lincoln Logs.  He made this monster all by himself!

Brendan, helping Dad cook.  He's such a great helper in the kitchen.

Another smooch for Emily.

Why, hello there, little sister!  (Still losing her hair...aw, man!)

Big brother cuddle time.

 One of her first smiles!

Emily's first bathtime in the larger bath tub.  It was kind of a cross between not minding it and being a little overwhelmed.

We're full-fledged smiling now!

More smiles!

Brendan and Megan were playing construction site and they called me over to take a look.  I asked why all of the construction vehicles were in a big line.  He replied that they were all on lunch break and they were in line to get their McDonalds.

So happy Dad's home from work!

 "Dad, you're choking me!"

A morning cuddle with my three munchkins.

Brendan and Megan, playing so nicely together.

 Emily and Brad, playing.

Emily's preferred position....completely squished and slightly arched.  We had a popcorn and movie night (i.e. Ice Age or Shrek...the only two movies Brendan and Megan want for movie nights) and Emily got in on the action too.

My beautiful Emily.

A wild-haired Megan, taking an early morning bike ride.

Early morning (6am) cuddle time with dad.  Every morning.

Tummy time!

Emily, just after bathtime.

We had the Ziedler girls over for a lunch playdate.  The kids love playing outside, and this time the weather permitted it.  Above, Megan and Calli play on the teeter-totter swing.

Shaylee and Megan on the swing.

All the kids, playing.

My garden, all planted and ready for some growing!   This year I have (from front to back) rhubarb, sweet peas, wax beans, green beans, kohl rabi, sweet peppers, eggplant, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, carrots, beets, zucchini squash, yellow squash and sweet potatoes.

The kids' garden.  Green beans and tomatoes going strong, two cucumbers to come!

Emily's first bottle. She did really well, so it's nice to know we have that option, if necessary.
