It was nice and toasty today, the kids and I decided to crack out the sprinkler and the slip-n'-slide for some (shaded) afternoon fun!
Brendan was not afraid of the ice cold water coming out of the sprinkler!
Megan had fun with the sprinkler, but it was more of the watching Brendan kind of fun. She just kinda skirted around the outside perimeter of the spray and giggled.
Brendan, getting pelted, and Megan, getting her hand wet.
My Megs.
I also dug out the water table and water toys and let them have their fun.
Brendan, taking aim at the mean, ol' pinwheel he had stuck in the ground (not pictured.) I also caught him smirking at me with that naughty kid look, to which I told him "Don't even think about it, Mister! I'm holding your baby sister!"
Brendan, on the slip-n'-slide.
Brendan, mid-slide.
Megan wasn't very interested in going down the slip-n'-slide (to which I'm secretly thankful...the girl inherited my klutzyness), but she sure did like the pooled water at the bottom!
Mmmmm...snack time!
Snack's over...more slip-n'-slide!
Little Emily's first outdoor play session. We cuddled up in our lawn chair in the shade and she alternated between squinting at the brightness and snoozing.
A very tired boy...(I just love how he sleeps, cuddling Snuggles close.)
...and a very tired girl (and Megan just sprawls.)
