Our Thursdays tend to be busy days around here lately (and I know it's just a teeny tiny foreshadow of what's to come as the kids get older!) Dance, t-ball, and softball make up much of our Thursdays, as well as trips to the library and grocery store (since we're out and about, why not?) and the feeding/sleeping demands of an infant. Thursday evenings I typically sit down and sigh a big "Phew!"

Brendan's turn at bat.
Brendan, in the dugout. He's learned that if he gets to the bench first he gets to hit first, so when their out-fielding is done, he bee-lines it for the dugout. At least he's enthusiastic about it, right?
Brad takes his lunch early on Tuesdays and Thursdays, to watch Brendan play, so I pack a picnic lunch and he and Megan lounge on the picnic blanket and eat their lunch. I take care of Emily (who usually also wants to eat at this time) while grabbing bites for myself when I can, and Brendan has his picnic when he's done playing.
Thursday evenings are softball evenings for Brad. The kids and I get to as many games as we can, although, with the girls, I usually won't have them there past a 7:30pm start time game. Brendan is now old enough to go alone with Brad and sit in the dugout, watching the game and chatting with the guys. He loves it, and has really gotten to know a bunch of the guys on the team (and even calls the guys by their nicknames.) Above, Brad's waiting on 3rd to head to home plate.

The kids love running the bases after Brad's games. Above, Megan gets a turn running around the bases.
