Megan's Crea 3rd Birthday Party

We visited the Crea farm this weekend to celebrate Megan's 3rd birthday with my family.  Cathy and Josh, Liz, and Lauren all came out to the farm for the day.  Bring on the Puppy Party!  We had a lunch of hot dogs with all the fixings, homemade mac n' cheese, chips, veggies, and fruit.  As we were finishing the meal, Brendan and Megan started getting antsy, so I took them outside to look for sticks for the bonfire we were going to have later in the day.  Megan was just too excited about opening her birthday gifts to concentrate on anything, so I told her to go inside and ask everyone if they were ready to open gifts.  Brendan and I continued to haul branches to the fire pit, and then I pushed Brendan on the swing for awhile.  After about five minutes of swinging, Brad came out, asking me what I was doing and why I had told Megan she could open her gifts. (!!!)  Turns out she went inside, asked about opening gifts, was told yes (in a distracted, adults in the middle of a conversation, way) so she went and immediately started opening her gifts.  I think she was about half done before someone noticed her.  So we all settled down and let her open the rest.  Then we finished the party with homemade bags of puppy chow, puppy paw-print cupcakes and a chocolate cake.  Happy Birthday, Megs!

Megan, enjoying her birthday meal.

After some major hinting, with was finally time to open presents!

Lauren and Mom are excited about the Cinderella princess doll and dress.

Megan, all dressed up with her matching Cinderella doll.  Won't you smile, Megan?

What if Zizzi gets you a gumball?  Ahhh!   There's the smile!

Puppy paw-print cupcakes (for the non-chocolate-lovers...that means you, Josh!)

A puppy chocolate cake for the rest of us!

So many birthday treats to choose from!

Megan, blowing our her princess candles.  Happy Birthday, Megan!

Megan's favorite gift was a pack of gum.  She wouldn't put it down.  She even fell asleep for her nap (with Zizzi Liz) clutching the gum.

 Look at this cute girl!...

...and there's the smile!
