Harvest Time!

Brad's co-worker, Dianne, and her husband, Marlin, invited us out to ride the combine again this year.  So, one nice afternoon after playing at the park (after work for Brad) we headed to Clara City for some farming fun.  Brad and the kids explored the fields for about twenty minutes while Marlin dropped off his semi-full of corn and I spent some "quality time" with Emily (ie. I fed her.)  When Marlin returned, Brad and Brendan took a ride with him and Megan, Emily and I played in the corn stubble and took pictures.  After a couple of passes, Megan and I got a ride, while Brad stayed with Brendan and Emily.  I know I'm a huge geek, but I love farming, and I was absolutely floored by my first combine ride (I couldn't go last year because I was newly pregnant with Emily and extremely nauseous )  I was raised on a beef cattle and alfalfa hobby farm, so we didn't do any combining, but there's just something about it that I love...and the kids seem to too.  We had a great time!

Brendan, playing at the playground.

Megan was nonstop energy, going down the slides, running around, and following Brendan everywhere.

It's just us girls now!

Megan wanted to take a picture of me.

Harvest time in the sunshine!

I gave Megan a ten-minute shoulder ride.  She thought it was great.  I was ready for a break after ten minutes!

For the next couple days, it was farming, farming, farming in our living room!
