Koosmann Family Hotel Weekend

We enjoyed the annual Koosmann Family Hotel Weekend, which we also used to celebrate Alyssa's 11th birthday.  This year we went back to Arrowwood in Alexandria, MN and we were able to enjoy the water-park, the hotel swimming pool, the gym, and all of the children's activities.  Brad and I were laughing about the fact that we always think we'll get to spend time visiting with the family, but by the time we've all finished swimming, playing, eating, washing up, and getting the kids to bed, we all flop, exhausted, into bed ourselves and miss out on the playing cards and visiting portion.  Maybe next year.  It was a fun-filled, extremely busy weekend, but we wouldn't have it any other way!

Emily liked the water, but didn't want to do much more than sit in it up to her waist, dangle her feet in it, or play with the water toys Aunt Tami loaned us, as mom forgot to pack some.

Emily spent a large portion of the time just like this...snuggled in a towel against her mama. 

When we needed a break from swimming, we checked out the kids activities.  One room featured mini-golf, crafts, games, toys, books, cookie-decorating, and a movie with popcorn.  Above, Brad, Megan, Marni and Marci are playing some mini-golf. 

Emily was convinced that this mini-golf ramp was a slide.  Nothing swayed her otherwise, including a very s-l-o-w trip down the "slide."
