Como Zoo

We made it to Como Zoo a few times while in the cities.

Headed into Como, on a blisteringly hot day.  We slathered them in sunscreen, tried to keep to the shade, and took lots of water breaks.

Checking out the monkeys.

Brendan, comparing his hand size to a polar bear paw.

What a sleepy lioness.  I don't blame her...the heat makes everyone tired!

We came back again a couple weeks later, and this time the weather was unseasonably cold.  We bundled up and tried to stay in the sun.  The highlight of our second trip was definitely the seal show.  The kids played "seal show" with the stuffed animals (tossing them through hoops and bouncing balls off their noses) for days afterwards.

Checking out the monkeys (again.)

The new Gorilla exhibit allows you to get pretty close to them.  Megan, especially, liked the gorillas.

The "Sparky The Seal" Show.  As you can see, the cold just doesn't stop Minnesotans from showing up!

"Sparky" getting ready to do some tricks.

Emily, watching the show.

Brendan, Megan and Brad, taking in the "Sparky" action.
