Some family pictures from April 2012...
Brendan, playing construction site.
Brendan asked Brad to teach him to play chess one afternoon (not a clue where that came from.) They've played a handful of times, and even though he's only won the first game he played, Brendan seems to love it. There's still a lot of coaching going on when they play...but probably no more than if I played with Brad!
Check-mate!
A big sibling hug.
Brendan and I made a playdough castle one afternoon. Megan focused more on making pretend food for us.
Knock on wood, but Megan has been fantastic at potty-training. She's only had a handful of accidents in the last couple weeks, and she gets undressed all by herself (so if you randomly notice her start to pull off her pants, undies, and socks...yes, socks...every time...you'll know what's happening) and she'll just call for me when she's done. And then demand a treat. :) She prefers the potty chair, which is the complete opposite of her brother (and quite a bit yuckier...although more convenient for her doing it herself.) The only real accidents she's had have been waking up from naptime. She still wears a nighttime diaper to bed, but she's been fantastic about staying clean and dry around the house, playing with others, and running errands. Hooray!
Also, this is the first day I put in a big girl ponytail instead of a side front one. She looks so old!
