The kids helped me make homemade Easter Pizza (okay, just homemade pizza, but it just sounds better being called Easter Pizza!) and fruit smoothies for supper. Gene and Mary stopped by for a little bit on their way home from a wake, so we visited with them, then got ready for bed. Happy (low-key!) Easter, everyone!

Easter Weekend
We spent our Easter close to home, as the baby's due date is only a few weeks away. We haven't ever had Easter at our own home, so it was very enjoyable coming up with our own way of celebrating. On Saturday, we headed to Madison for the outdoor egg hunt and to see Gene, Mary, Jason, Tami, Marni, and Reese. We enjoyed a couple meals together, another egg hunt, and dyed some eggs. On Sunday we had a relaxing day at home. Happy Easter Weekend!
Happy girl with a full basket.
Looking for eggs...looking for eggs...
Happy Egg Hunt!
The kids enjoyed some time on the playground (Brendan's just to the bottom of the slide) while the parents stood in the wind to listen if the kids won a prize.
We had lunch, visited a few hours with Jason and Tami, and when they left, Brad's parents staged a mini-egg-hunt for Brendan and Megan outside. The kids weren't tired of them yet!
Gene and Mary, watching Brendan hunt for eggs.
Megan still likes opening each of her eggs before she puts it in her basket.
Then the kids dyed eggs. Brendan was old enough to handle it himself this year!
Megan still needed a tiny bit of help.
Thanks for the help, Dad!
Cheese!
The kids, with their Easter baskets, on Sunday morning (butterfly nets, bubbles, Slinky's, toothpaste and tongue scrapers, M&M's, jellybeans, and granola bars.) We had a relaxing morning...we found Easter baskets, enjoyed some homemade blueberry muffins (thanks, Brad!), and went to church.
Sunday afternoon was snooze time!
More napping...I'd better get in on that too, before everyone wakes up!
