Celebrating Alyssa's 8th Birthday

We had a busy, fun-filled weekend. On Saturday afternoon I had a bridal shower and bachelorette party in downtown Minneapolis to go to and Sunday we were in Chaska celebrating Alyssa's 8th (yes, 8th!) birthday. We stayed overnight in Waconia at our good friends Julie and D.J.'s house, which allowed Julie and I to carpool to the parties and allowed the combined resources of our husbands to watch the four kids (Alex-4, Brendan-3.5, Megan-16 months and Drew-almost 3 months) The kids had a great time (and completely wore out themselves and our husbands), and Julie and I had a great time too! We celebrated Angie's bridal shower at Graves 601, then headed to dinner and a comedy show at Acme Comedy Company and Sticks Restaurant. We had a blast (and quite a few laughs!) After a rocky night of sleep (thanks, Megan!) and a delicious breakfast (thanks, Julie!) we headed to Chaska and celebrated Alyssa's 8th birthday. We can't get over how grown up she's becoming! Happy Birthday, Alyssa!

Alyssa and the cousins, opening gifts.

Brendan, a little slower today (thanks to all the playing with Alex yesterday) sitting next to Uncle Chuck, watching the gift-opening festivities. He looks so grown up here!

Kitty says, "Help me!" as Reese and Megan tightly surround her for a cuddle.

Reese, cuddling Pixie.

Megan, disappointed because Pixie ran away from her.

Hi Brad! Yep...I'm changing Megan's diaper. Do you want to help?

The kids playing some elephant blowing butterflies game (Elefun, I think?) Notice Brendan sticking his fingers in his ears because the blowing sound was too loud for him. What a goon!
