Noelle's 30th Birthday

I had a pretty low-key 30th birthday, which was nice. I'm not at all worked up about age, so it was funny to hear everyone calling me asking me if I was okay now that I've turned the big 3-0. I think my mom is having a harder time of it than I am. :) I got to sleep in a bit and Brad and the kids made me a homemade card and served me breakfast in bed (which turned into breakfast at the table when Megan realized she wasn't going to get to eat my food and started screaming for her breakfast!) We got a ton of snow the night before, so Brad was late getting to work because he had to snow blow the driveway so he could leave. Brad's parents made it over for dinner to celebrate with us. It was a wonderful day! I took a walk outside to check how much snow we got.
For the most part the snow came to just below my knees. Don't I look fancy all decked out in Brad's hunting jacket?

Brad, starting out with the snow blower.
Brad, 2 1/2 hours later, still blowing snow.
The wind did a good job of whipping around the snow from the snow blower. For most of the 2 1/2 hours Brad was outside, he looked like this.
Brendan helped me blow out my "three is for thirty" candles. We then had to re-light a candle so Megan could try too (and she did it!)
Waving good-bye to grandma and grandpa, Megan discovered how much fun a frosty window is. Above is my and Megan's hand prints.
Mmmmmm...my homemade double layer chocolate birthday cake. Seriously...it was sooooo good!
