Here are some family pictures from August 2013...
Celebrating my cousin, Rebecca's (far left) graduation and college send-off. On the right are my cousins Matthew and Nicholas, who Brendan and Megan talk about endlessly and fight over who gets to be better friends with. Megan is off pouting in the background somewhere!
Somebody loves her daddy!
Emily giggles as he feels daddy's "scratchies."
Emily (15 1/2 months) and Daddy.
Brad and Brendan had a boys afternoon where they fixed the van, went to Golfsmith and tried out some new irons, and on the way home they stopped and got a surprise for me. Daisies are my favorite (and these lasted for weeks and bloomed beautifully) but you just can't beat the cute card that came with them.

Emily and I, playing with Brendan and Megan.
My guys.
One of Brendan's favorite household tasks is still vacuuming...so I was happy to put him to work. I told him he was making Great-Grandpa Rocco proud, and he smiled the rest of the time he was vacuuming.
A quick picture of Emily.
Someone likes her yogurt!
Brendan and I took a special shopping trip for back-to-school supplies. We started off by having some Subway together and then braved the pre-school crowds at Target and checked all the supplies off his school list. His favorite finds of the day? A Twins notebook and a Star Wars Angry Birds pencil case. He's ready for school!
Rocking a sick boy. Watching your little ones in pain when there's nothing you can do is just awful.
My 9th Wedding Anniversary present: a beautiful mini-orchid. We had plans to go out together, but I ended up getting super-sick with a stomach virus (oh, the perils of being a mommy of sick kids!) and spent the whole afternoon/evening in bed. So, I had a piece of bread with a little peanut butter and went to bed early, and Brad had leftovers and took care of the kids. Happy Anniversary, honey! I couldn't do it with anyone else!
We had a popcorn night, but Megan was more interested in playing.
Brad is my popcorn guy, and he's pretty much in heaven putting his feet up, watching some football, and having a large container of fresh popcorn to dig his hands into. As you can imagine, Brendan is exactly the same way.
And little Emily ate enough popcorn to keep up with the guys.
A quick hug from my Emily.
These are the beautiful flowers the Nelson's gave me, in the flowerpot my niece, Alyssa painted. Aren't they beautiful?
One of the places Brendan is happiest.
