Some good news! I received a call from my Oncologist's office mid-morning and they informed me that the cancer has NOT spread beyond my left axillary nodes. Hooray!! (She also asked if I'm having a sore throat or sinus infection...to which I laughed and told her I came down with strep. She said they could see that my sinus nodes were engaged, but those too were free of cancer.)
She also said that my MUGA scan was great. I came in at 70.4% strength, and the average person is 60-65%, so my heart will do just fine on the chemotherapy regime we have planned. Happy dances all around!!!
We know that the road ahead is not going to be an easy one, but, boy, we're taking this good news and celebrating for all we're worth. I hope you do too, as you've been with us the whole way.
