Last night at supper, Brendan asked us when the combines were going to be in the field behind our house.
Brad: "After your birthday." (Brendan's birthday is July 19th.)
Brendan: "Okay."
Brad: "Actually, it's after my birthday too." (Brad's birthday is September 21st.)
Brendan (with a look of utter exasperation): "You're too old to have birthdays."
