May 2010
Here are some family pictures from May 2010...
Brendan and Megan playing tractors together.
Megan enjoys chewing (and by chewing I, of course, mean gumming) her spoon after eating her cereal.
Brad reading Brendan one of his several bedtime books.
Stone-faced Megan and Scary-smile Brendan. :)
Brendan loading his tractor trailer up during some quiet self-play.
Megan eating a banana in her food net. She loves them!
Toys in the mouth!
Brendan putting together the barnyard.
My mom came to visit for a couple of days mid-May, and she was making a Bible cover for my cousin, Rebecca. Brendan decided it looked like fun and asked if he could make one for Rebecca too. So, he's very excited he's getting to cross-stitch. And after he was done he decided he had to keep it for himself. Sorry Rebecca!
Brendan, Megan, and Daddy doing some reading.
Brendan getting a bedtime book read by Nona.
I finally cracked out the highchair tray and measuring cups and spoons for Megan (which Brendan had loved playing with when he was a baby.) She played and played while I planted seeds at the kitchen table.
While Megan and I were inside having fun, the guys got to be outside having fun. This is our new lawn mower. Yay! (It only took us a year of looking! Sheesh.) Here, Brad and Brendan are mowing around my soon-to-be planted veggie garden. Brendan mowed with Brad the entire 1 1/2 hours. His attention span is amazing.
Megan's kitchen playtime wore her out and she went right down for a nap.
Megan at 7 months, in her Easter dress.
Megan has developed a liking for all things with buttons and noises (such as remote and phones.) I can ususally keep her entertained with this Elmo remote of Brendan's.
Brendan loves exercising with me, and when we're exercising inside he likes dancing, tae-bo, and step-aerobics (he's not too fond of pilates and yoga...too slow for him and too soft of music.) This morning he decided he wanted to exercise (even though I couldn't because I hurt my back the other day.) So he did about ten minutes of kid-version step-aerobics while I looked on and cheered (okay, okay...and snickered some too.) Notice he has to use his potty chair step stool to step on (don't worry...it's clean!) and he has to have his special "exercise pants" on. He makes me laugh. I can't wait to show him this picture when he's older!
