Weekend With The Koosmann's
We got to see Uncle Jason, Aunt Tami, and cousins Marni and Reese this past weekend. We hadn't seen Reese since Christmas and she's grown so much (sitting up, two teeth, eating solids). We spent the day Saturday with them, and on Sunday, when Brendan woke up, he came and found us and said, "May I pleeeeeease go to Grandma and Grandpa's house today to play with Marni? Pleeeeeease?" How can you say no to that? We had a great time playing and visiting with Jason and Tami and their family, and we even got a game of cards in when all the kids were napping. How great is that?
Marni posing in her Joe Mauer jersey, glove, ball and helmet. What a smile!
Reese has gotten so big! She'll be speed-crawling around before you know it, Jason & Tami!
We actually got Brendan down for naptime (and by "we" I mean Brad). When Brendan finally settled down, this is how he slept (until Brad woke him up an hour later with the flash from this picture!)
A dazed Marni, Brad and Brendan, rocking after naptime.
Reese discovered the wonder of the bay window and spent some looking out and happily banging on it. Looks like she's saying, "Let me outside!!"
Brendan and Marni spent some time running around outside while Grandpa fired up the grill. Judging from Marni's interest in the grill, Gene may have an apprentice griller on his hands!
Marni and Brendan decided to make a fort under the kitchen table.
Megan (5 months) and Reese (9 months) having some play time on the rocking chair together. And, yes, that's Reese's leg sticking out...this girl may very well be a contortionist when she grows up!
Brendan loves throwing snowballs into the semi-frozen pond by Gene & Mary's house. And since the pond has been rising higher and higher, due to the melting snow, he's been liking it even more because the pond is bigger. He will grab whomever he can get (typically Dad or Grandpa) and have them stand there with him for a half hour at a time. Above, Brendan got one of his snowballs through the ice by himself.
