Right after Marci's First Communion party, we headed to Eagan, to go to the Crea/Adrian Feed My Starving Children Family Packing. My parents host a packing twice a year and any and all family, friends, friends of family, etc. are invited to attend. It's been a couple of years since we've been to one, and we were delighted that we could attend this year, as we want Megan and Emily--like Brendan-- to learn about what my dad does on a deeper level than "Papa feeds the hungry kids." We loved the chance to get to see my family and extended family we don't see enough, to play a little with Alexa, and to teach the kids about Gods work and helping others. If anyone is interested in learning more, please check out their website at www.fmsc.org.
Dad, introducing the program, and doing what he does so well...connecting with people.
Cousin Alexa!
Emily in her hair net (which, in all honesty, she didn't use much. We weren't much help on the packing side of things this time...Emily didn't quite have the attention for it. So we tried to be helpful in other ways, like helping set out some of the pot luck food, playing with Alexa, and visiting--hey, that's helpful, right?!)
Megan, in her hairnet.
Brendan, hard at work measuring the vitamins.
Everyone hard at work packing.
Brendan couldn't even stop for a picture...this is serious stuff, Mom!
Some family packing.
Brendan got a big Alexa hug!
On the way home, there were heavy storms moving northward and we saw some beautiful skies. I'm a sucker for this stuff, so I took some pictures, although none of them actually do justice to the true coloring.
