It's a game afternoon with the girls! Who doesn't love some Candyland?
(Especially 10 times in a row!?)
An indoors picnic lunch!
Shhhhh...the baby is sleeping!
The girls and I went on a nature walk around the yard one morning. We didn't find a lot (as it was still early March), but we had a lot of fun poking around.
Indoor bowling!
Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, anyone?
Brad's dad dug out Brad's old bb gun and Brendan has enjoyed trying it out. He keeps begging Brad to take him pheasant and goose hunting. We just quietly smile at him and tell him he needs to work on accuracy and etiquette first (and, obviously, the seasons for hunting!)
Brendan enjoys seeing his accuracy improve, the more he shoots.
I guess boys never get tired of their bb guns!
While the boys were shooting, I walked around and took some pictures. The weather was beautiful and the sun was out, but slowly setting. We have a couple of birch trees in our yard (which I love) and they were shining bright white in the fading sunlight. I love the look of them against the bright blue sky.
The plant life is starting to perk up in the warmer weather.
I found a small bird's nest in the Burning Bush just outside our dining room window. We'll have to keep our eye on it to see if someone finds a home in it later this spring.
My mom came out for a quick visit, to help babysit the girls while I went on a half-day field trip with Brendan. (Thanks, Mom!) She took this picture of the kids while she was here.
Brendan was in town with some friends, enjoying the warm weather.
Water balloon fight!
