Despite the unusually mild (snow-wise) February, we did get a couple of good dumpings. The above snow happened at the beginning of the month and it was a full morning of huge, fluttery snowflakes that accumulated. So beautiful!
One afternoon, this is how the girls fell asleep..all cuddled together on the couch.
Megan and Emily. They had to have their long-sleeved shirts tied around their wastes...just like I do.
Brad and I have started doing Hatha Yoga a few evenings a week. I needed to incorporate more variety into my arm/shoulder stretching on my radiated side, and Brad wanted to be able to reach past his knees when he bends over. It has been fantastic! Many of the pleurisy symptoms that continue to nag at me have reduced and Brad can now touch the floor with his fingertips. Plus, it's a nice, calming way for us to end the day.
Happy Birthday, Gene!
Grandpa had a little help blowing out his candles.
Megan made some delicious-looking playdough snacks!
Emily had to show off her playdough skills too!
Eeeeek!
The kids heard Brad and I talking about the yoga we'd been doing and they wanted to try it out too. So, here's a family yoga session.
We interrupt this local broadcast of "pretending your sister is a baby and you're the mommy" for a quick picture...
There has been some discussion around our house about starting Brendan with piano lessons, so Brad's parents loaned us their old keyboard to try him out and gauge his interest. I never had any formal piano lessons...just what I picked up myself from lesson books after being able to read music in band, but Brad had a couple of years of lessons and he's started teaching Brendan a little bit about it.
We were iced! Frozen rain on our south windows.
I know this isn't a very clear picture, but I snuck in and took a picture during one of Emily's naps this month. There's something that I just love about the peacefulness (and quiet!) of kids sleeping. Emily was all cuddled up with her special kitty, and it was adorable. (Of course, after the flash went off, she stirred and I froze, cursing myself for interrupting naptime, until she settled again and I could tiptoe out of her room! Nap time was saved!)
We celebrated Valentine's Day a day early, as we were going to be at Jill and Chuck's cabin. Above, the kids each got a book, card, and sweet treat from Brad and I at their breakfast spot (a tradition started by my own parents.)
Brendan (in the middle, black sweater) and Megan (center bottom) singing at church.
Emily, enjoying the kids singing at church.
