Fun In The Snow

One Sunday afternoon we realized that we hadn't gotten much sledding done this past winter.  It had always been too cold or too windy or we had been busy.  So, after naps were done, we loaded up the van and headed into town to do some sledding at the big hill at the Middle School.  There wasn't an abundance of snow on the ground, and it was getting late in the afternoon, but we had the hill to ourselves and still enjoyed a good hour of "Weeeeee!"ing down a hill and trudging back up.

Brad and the kids at the top of the hill.  We didn't let a little grass sticking out of the snow stop us!

Megan, headed down the hill.

Brendan on his snowboard.

He's still getting the hang of it.

A couple of giggly girls.

Megan was really good about pulling her sister back up the hill.  Sometimes Mom or Dad had to help, but usually she just jumped right out and hauled it back up herself.

What a beautiful afternoon!

Brad couldn't resist a little snowboarding too (I mean, someone had to show Brendan how it's done!)

And there he goes!  The kid-sized board didn't seem to faze him.

"The girls" decided to go for a ride.

Headed down the hill.  We couldn't really all fit, so I just stuck my legs out the side and held them up the whole way down.  I told Brad I was working on my core muscle exercises.

One last snowboarding trip down the hill, and then it's home for some popcorn and hot chocolate.
