Lunch With Santa

One of the Christmas traditions we enjoy as a family is heading to Madison, MN for the Lunch With Santa event and free kids movie that afternoon at the theater.  The lunch is held at the Elementary School, and it's always pretty neat to let the kids run around the school that Brad went to as a child.  Last year Emily was still in her carseat, and now she's sitting up and participating like a big girl, so she was excited.  The kids eat a quick hot dog lunch, decorate Christmas cookies, and visit with Santa.  Then we headed to Brad's parents house, and while Emily and I took a nap, Brad, Gene, Megan and Brendan went to Despicable Me 2.  That evening, Gene and Mary went above and beyond, by watching the kids for us so I could drag Brad to the second Hunger Games movie.  We don't get to the movies often, so I was on cloud nine (and Brad survived!)

Lunch with Santa in Brad's old Elementary School cafeteria.

Megan ate her lunch, decorated her cookie, and is ready to dig in!

What a big girl!

Mmmm...a cookie!

 Sweet sisters.

Brendan is a pro and has no qualms about visiting with Santa.

We tried for a picture of the kids with Santa, but Emily wanted nothing to do with it.

Megan, who was terrified of Santa last year, gave Santa a big hug after her chat.
