March 2013

Here are some family pictures from March 2013...

Emily and dad, all snuggled up together.

A close-up of my little Emmy...all cozy and snug.

Emily watched Brendan and Megan on the rocking horse and then just couldn't take it any longer.  She needed a ride!

Time for Cheerios!

Blah...chemo yuck.  I told you no hair made my nose look bigger! :) (hee hee!)

As a reward for a reading challenge Brendan's school participated in, one student from each class got to put a pie in the principal, Mr. Grey's, face.  Brendan was selected from his class and they got this great action shot.  Supposedly this is going to be in the newspaper...and Brendan couldn't be prouder!

Anything and everything goes in Emily's mouth! (Don't worry...I'm watching her!)

Brendan and Emily, playing dollhouse together.

We have been seeing tons of pheasants in our yard.

Megan, all dressed up.

Grandpa and Emily, playing as Brad and I pack up the car to head to the cities for chemo.

A quick snuggle with all three kids.

Our parents have been such a help during this time.  Typically, Brad's parents come and watch the kids overnight for us while Brad and I are in the cities, and then my mom heads out to stay with us for a few days afterwards while I get over the side-affects.  The kids have loved the additional time with their grandparents. Above, my mom is playing dollhouse with the girls during one of her stays with us.

The March Madness bracket doors.  Brendan's brackets are on the left, Brad's are on the right.  The kids love getting to highlight the teams that won and follow the brackets religiously.

Brad and Brendan (two peas in a pod...notice their similar standing postures!) catching up on some March Madness during Brad's lunch hour.

Jill, Chuck and the kids came out for a long weekend to help with the kids after my last A/C chemo treatment.  We loved getting to see them!  Above, Alyssa and Marci are giving Emily a bottle.

Marci and Emily.

This is Emily's new pose of choice.  She's now pulling herself to standing on anything that will hold still  (and even things that aren't!)  It won't be long before she's walking!
