Egg Hunt at Calvary Church

The Saturday before Easter weekend, Calvary Baptist Church (which is where I go to MOPS, and where the minister and his family are good friends of ours) held an egg hunt for all the area kids. We watched the kids dig around in the straw for their eggs, ate a cookie, and was able to visit with friends. It was a pretty quick pre-Easter event, but we all enjoyed it.

Megan wasn't incredibly interested in looking for eggs...until she opened one and found out that there was stuff inside it. Then she was delighted (and had to open each and every egg she put in her basket.)

Brendan searched for eggs in the older kids' straw pile. (Brendan's in the camo jacket in the front right.)

A closer picture of Brendan doing his egg hunting thing.

Brendan, with his egg haul. He exclaimed to me, "Mom, I hit the jackpot!"

Megan's egg haul (notice that every single one in her basket is already opened!)

After the egg hunting, everyone headed inside for a cookie, and each of the kids got an Easter balloon. We (Brad and I) spent the time visiting with some friends and letting the kids run around and play. Then, we headed home for lunch!
