Angie's Baby Shower

Our good friends, Tom and Angie, are due with their first child in mid-June. So, my other high school girlfriends and I threw Ang a baby shower...and everyone was nice enough to schedule it early so I could come pre-baby. So, I headed to the cities all by myself. I left early (up at 6am) in the morning fog and listened to Mitch Albom's The Five People You Meet In Heaven all the way there (and back), and headed to my late grandparent's house to spend some time with my family before meeting for the baby shower. The family is going to be selling my grandparent's house (sad, but a little happy at the same time...it's a wonderful house in a really nice neighborhood and will make some family truly happy) so it was pretty nostalgic going through the house for what is most-likely the last time. After a couple of hours, my mom and I headed to Maple Grove for Angie's baby shower. I didn't get many pictures because I was busy enjoying myself, but it was wonderful to get to see my friends, the food was amazing (lasagna, stuffed cannelloni, homemade mac n' cheese, salad, garlic bread, jello salad, spinach artichoke crab dip, punch, cake, etc.), and did I mention it was wonderful to get to see my friends? After the shower, my mom and I made a quick run to Sam's Club and my dad picked her up and I headed home. It was a busy, busy day, but I was so glad I was able to make it.

Sun through the fog, on the way to the cities.

Ang, with a pile of baby presents.

Angie, opening gifts. Doesn't she just glow? We're so excited for them!

And I'm headed into the sunset...on my way back home.
