January 2012

Here are some family photos from January 2012...

Megan thinks it's great fun to crawl into small tubs and drawers that are just the right size for her. The not-so-fun part? Getting stuck in small tubs and drawers that are just the right size for her. :)

Some fun in the afternoon...counting money!

This is what our back yard looks like. Middle of winter. NO SNOW. It's unbelievable, and I wonder if I'll ever see it again in my lifetime. On a side note, I'm not too upset about the lack of snow, given the fact that I now have a big tummy that would get in the way of shoveling.

The view of the back field. Brendan doesn't really believe me when I tell him it's technically still winter outside. He thinks it's just a really long spring.

Brendan, painting.

Megan (aka Miss Crazy Hair), painting.

Brendan received one of those plaster dinosaur eggs for Christmas, where there's something hidden inside and he has to excavate it. It's actually a bit harder than it sounds...mostly because you have a 4 1/2-year-old begging you to help to make it go faster, and then you try to help, but you're still not going fast enough, and it takes you three days of digging (both of you...I swear I didn't do all the digging myself!) until a triceratops is reveled inside the egg. Messy, but fun.

The kids and I, lounging on the couch. The kids wanted to feel the baby moving (and of course they can't do that over the shirt), so up my shirt went. Megan was convinced for awhile that she had a baby inside her tummy too, so that's why her shirt is up. She's feeling her baby move around too.

Dad, reading one of several bedtime books.

Megan went through a two-week stage where she didn't want to go to fall asleep in her bed. She'd fall asleep on the floor, she'd fall asleep in the hall, or she'd fall asleep in the baby's room. Just not in her bed. Above, she's out cold in the baby's rocking chair.

Me, at 27 weeks.
