July 2011

Here are some family pictures from July 2011...

Brendan with his garden. We planted sweet peas, green beans and carrots and surrounded it with marigolds. He just loved it (and so did the rabbit, until we (aka. Brad) "took care" of it.)

My garden. Even bigger and better plans for next year!

My garden, from the back. We planted sweet peas, green beans, wax beans, zucchini, yellow squash, beets, carrots, tomatoes, eggplant, green peppers, kohl rabi, and cucumbers. All did well, except for the beets...the bunny was partial to them and ate every single one.

A mini-harvest.

My kitchen-helper, helping me grate carrots for freezing. Watch your fingers, little man!

The snoozers.

A smile from my Megs.

Brad, Brendan, Gene and I took a day fishing trip to Lake Minnewaska-and we had a blast! Fishing was good, we had lunch in the boat, and we swam on the beach (and some of us got a nap on the way home...yay!!) Mary was kind enough to offer to watch Megan for the day. Above, Grandpa is showing Megan the fish we caught.

Megan is not afraid. She loved reaching in and playing with all the fish fillets.

Brad and Brendan, reading a bedtime book about whales.

Megan, playing kitchen.

My Brendan Scott.

Megan, reading to her baby.

Brendan, showing off his first art project from school. It's a butterfly (from the end of the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar) made out of pipe cleaners, a clothespin, and tissue paper. That thing flew around our house for quite awhile!
