August at Rose Lake

We spent a long weekend with my family up at the cabin.

Brendan taking a ride on the Papa-Nona water train.

Megan and Zizzi Cathy. It took just a bit for Megan to adjust to the water, but then she liked it.

Baby girl liked the boogie board.

Brendan trying with all his might to push Brad off the dock. (Check out the water level...they had to raise the dock twice and the water still comes up to the top...it's the highest water level in Rose Lake recorded history!)

Brendan tubing with Cathy.

Brendan tubing with me.

Brendan and his crazy head of hair. We just couldn't take it anymore and gave him a major haircut the next morning.

Nothing says, "Happy 6th wedding anniversary, honey" like boxed mac n' cheese. Mmmmm...

Brendan and his new very, very, very short haircut!

Brendan helping spray Brad down for his haircut.

One of Brendan's sunfish he caught while fishing on the little dock.

Papa giving Megan her bottle.

One afternoon we went into Vergas and washed sheets and towels. While they were washing we visited the Vergas pier/dock and did a little fishing. The fishing this whole weekend was pretty dead, but we managed to catch some small sunnies, and that kept Brendan interested.

Brendan and I fishing.

After fishing we took Brendan to the playground. Here he is playing on the mini-piano they have. (Look how long his legs are...he's getting so big!!)

Brad and I, with our cheeks packed with sunflower seeds, enjoying the sun and watching Brendan play.

Head-first down the twirly slide.
