Playing in Madison and Gene's Birthday
Jill and the kids were in Madison for a couple days, so I took Brendan and Megan over for the day. The kids had a great time playing, running at the armory, sledding, and celebrating Grandpa's birthday.

We made up football teams and played some mini-games. Above, Jill is demonstrating how to start a play.
The kids enjoyed running around the gym and on the mats at the Madison Armory. At this point I think they were just playing tag. It's so much fun now that the kids are old enough to actually play together...it's heart-warming to hear about how much fun Brendan has with his cousins.
After the armory, we went back and dressed the kids for some sledding. We headed to the sledding hill and spent the late afternoon sledding, tubing, and rolling down the hill. Above, Brendan takes his first solo ride down the hill.

Brendan and Charlie were pulling the sled up the hill together. About halfway up, Brendan decided he wanted to roll down the hill. So, down he went, leaving Charlie to haul the sled all the way to the top.
I went down a couple of times with Megan. The trickier part was getting us back up. So, Megan just laid down in the bottom of the sled and "enjoyed" the steep climb to the top.
Marci took a tumble in her sled. In true Marci fashion, she shook it off, jumped back up, and took off for more sledding.
Jill's sled twisted around on her halfway down the hill, and she ended up riding backwards.
Megan liked sledding down the hill, but she most enjoyed sitting at the bottom, watching everyone come down.
