Our Family Christmas 2010

We were able to carve out a little time to celebrate Christmas as a family this year. Brendan was so excited to check if Santa came to our house while we were gone...he talked about it the whole four hour ride home. We brought the kids inside, and Brendan raced into the living room, spied the full stockings and gifts under the tree, then ran around the kitchen/dining room/living room loop shrieking "Santa was here! Santa was here!" Megan, excited by all the commotion, just crawled after him at top speed, laughing hysterically. It was....perfect.

Brendan, tearing into one of his Christmas gifts at home.

It took us two whole evenings to put together the kids' kitchen set (one for cutting out the pieces and one for assembly.) It wasn't difficult, but it was time consuming. It didn't matter though...it was completely worth it.

Brendan, overjoyed at the spread of play food before him.

Megan, stirring her nuk in a bowl (a favorite pastime.)

Megan's first bite of pretend fries. ("No, Megan, we don't eat the plastic fries...")
