Brendan's First Dental Visit

We had our first family dental visit the other day. When I made the appointments for Brad, Brendan and I, I made sure to mention that Brad and I needed our appointments staggered because we had the kids with us. When we arrived at our appointments it turned out that they hadn't allowed enough time between our appointments (fifteen minutes? really?) so I was at a loss for what to do with the kids. One of the hygienists kindly offered to watch them in the room next to mine, so I could keep an eye on them and have my checkup and cleaning done at the same time. About five minutes later, she came running into my room, asking if I had a camera. I said no, and she said she'd figure it out, but that she had to take the kids' pictures because she had them in the seat together and they looked adorable. (What mom doesn't like hearing that?!) She ended up using the mouth camera by backing it into the corner of the room. She printed out the pictures and gave them to me (which I then scanned and put on my blog!) Brendan had a great first checkup, and he was very excited that he got his own new toothbrush and toothpaste.

It looks like a head-lock, but it's Brendan's version of a Megan hug. Looks like she loves it, huh?
