Crea Week at Rose Lake
Crea Week at Rose Lake
Brendan munching on a banana up at the cabin. I have a toddler picture of myself somewhere, that I've been meaning to dig out, where I have the same expression and facial features. I'll find it someday...
Brendan "found" fishing while at the cabin. He seriously stood on the dock with Brad for over a half hour at a time and "fished" (Brad would cast his line out and Brendan would reel it in.) He LOVES fishing. He also caught his first fish. Brad and I took him out for just a little bit to do some sunfishing. After awhile, he grew bored helping me fish, so I threw out his fishing pole with just an unbaited hook and let him pretend. All of a sudden he was yelling "Ow! Ow!" and Brad said "I think he has a fish on his line!" I told him he was crazy because it was just a plain hook and I had put it way down at the bottom. Brendan kept yelling "Ow!", so we checked his line and, sure enough, he had a huge rock bass on it (seriously, I could hardly get my hand around it!) Brendan didn't really know what to think, kinda a cross between being scared and interested. We threw the fish back and that was pretty much the end of him wanting to fish right then.

Brendan sharing another big grin with "Cassie" (Zizzi Cathy).

Brendan and Zizzi Liz playing bubbles (aka, using the sisters for some babysitting.)
Brendan actually blowing bubbles for the first time, instead of pretty much eating them.
