My mom came and stayed overnight with us last week, which was great, because I had the chance to get a few things done...like get a haircut and take a long nap! I've been feeling kinda crummy lately too (dang baby messing up my hormones!), so it's always nice to have your mom around when you're not feeling up to par...and Brendan loved having Nona around to play with. Unfortunately, the only picture I took while mom was here doesn't even have her in it (I know, I know...what a horrible daughter!), but they had lots of fun playing with cars, reading books, and playing playdough. Both of my parents are coming out this weekend, and we're very excited to see what fun things we can come up with now that it's nicer outside!

Brendan and Nona played with playdough while I made supper. Brendan had a blast playing with someone besides me, and he especially thought it was funny when we stuck playdough on his nose.

My two cool dudes!

Brendan was playing in his car and he put one of my hats on. I thought he looked pretty cute. Kinda like a bad boy.

Last weekend we stayed at Brad's parents house so we could visit with Gene and Mary, and Jill, Chuck and the kids. The boys were sitting on the counter eating cinnamon bread and the girls couldn't stand to not be part of the fun, so they hopped up there too, and they had a little cinnamon bread party on the counter. After breakfast we all headed outside to play in what was left of the snow outside. They had a huge "lake" that had melted and refroze in the area around their house. It was like a very large, very thin skating rink. And, in all honesty, I think Chuck and Brad had more fun than the kids. :) (l-->r, Chuck, Alyssa, Marci, Jill, Charlie, Gene)

This is Brendan playing on the edge of the "lake." He wasn't too sure of the ice itself, but he loved throwing handfuls of snow onto the ice and watching it scatter.

On Sunday, when we got back home, Brad decided to skip basketball and hang out with us. Brendan ended up crashing in my arms again after he woke up from his nap, so I got some cuddle time in with my increasingly active little guy.

Instead of playing basketball, Brad watched basketball...and after his long nap, Brendan joined him. Brendan plopped down on the ground next to Brad and just cuddled on his chest. It was really cute. Of course, it only lasted a few minutes until Brendan was on to his next thing, but you have to take those few cuddle minutes when you can get them!

Brendan loves playing hide and seek. His favorite place to hide is in the broom closet. He closes the door and I go over and knock on it, pretending I've lost him, and Brendan swings open the door, peeks his head out and says "Boo!" I caught him in this picture just after he swung the door open, and I think I startled him.
