Some family pictures from May 2011...

Megan, snacking on blueberries.

Brendan, showing me the crappie he and Brad caught on a Brad-Brendan fishing excursion.

Megan, taking Baby Nina for a ride in the baby stroller.

Some brother-sister time in Brendan's room.

Megan, with her purse and baby...two of her favorite things.

Our friend, the cardinal, who taps at our kitchen window every morning and occasionally during the day. He's become quite the fixture in our lives in the last month.

The huge pheasant that has been running around our back yard for the last couple days.

Brendan, helping me start seeds for our gardens.

Mmmmm....blueberry pancakes. Just the sight of these makes me hungry for more. I came across a friend's recipe a few weeks ago and have been making them a couple times a week. Brad's getting a little sick of them, but they still make the kids' and my mouths water.

Megan, playing with chalk in the garage.

Brendan, helping Brad pump up his bike tire. Ummm, guys? It needs to be
attached to the tire.

My odd-shaped garden. The rhubarb is already coming up, the seeds are started, and I'm just itching to start planting!

The new flowers I planted in our front door planter. Isn't it funny how some people are so proud of different things?

A spring fire. Ahhhh...it feels good!

...and Brendan agrees!

Brendan enjoyed s'mores as a special bedtime snack.

Megan, getting into the game cabinet. Such fun!

Megan decided it would be fun to get in the doll crib with her baby. She thought it was fun for about two minutes...then wanted out!

On a nice, warm day, I had the kids set up their water-table outside. They played and played...

...which led to them wanting to make mud snowmen (like Brendan had seen on Curious George.)
Thanks, Curious George. So, I thought, "Why not?" Brendan loved squishing the mud with his hands and making mud towers (with my help.) Megan stirred hers around for awhile, then she accidentally got a little on her hands and she was so upset by the mud on her hands that she didn't want to play with it anymore...and back to the water-table she went. To each their own!

The kids, mowing lawn with Brad.

We had our friends, the Zeidlers, over for a supper picnic. Calli, Brendan, and Shaylee loved having their own picnic on their own picnic blanket.

My big girl, Megan, showing off her owie from falling off her bike.

Brad and Brendan, getting started on preparing the soil for my garden. What helpers!

Megan, watching the traffic on the highway and the birds in the trees.

Awwwww...

Bathtime! Megan loves trying to grab the water as it comes out, causing it to spray all over her.

The snoozers.

More snoozers. I'm detecting a pattern...or more of a common denominator!

Megs, giving her special puppy a kiss.
